It’s that special time of year. Despite the usual fluctuations in weather that Michigan is known for, as of last week, spring is officially here! What’s more is that Easter is this weekend. For many kids, that means a whole week off from school and that means a whole week of uninterrupted fun!

For many parents, however, spring break can throw a wrench in their everyday schedule. With the kids home from school for a week, you might be wondering what you can do to not only keep them entertained but make this spring break a blast!

Don’t be fooled into thinking a trip to someplace with sunshine, palm trees and a talking mouse is the only way to do spring break right. You can find all the fun and entertainment you need right here in metro Detroit!

Get Them Off the Couch

If your kid is thinking they can stay home all week, playing games and watching TV, they have another think coming. Get them off the couch, the computer or whatever is keeping them stationary, and take them to one of these spots for some intense fun!

Open Their Mind

Just because they’re taking a break from classes for a week doesn’t mean all learning has to stop. Show them that learning doesn’t have to be all books and homework. Take them to a science center or museum, like the ones below.
